A Good Man is Hard to Find- Ending

My reaction to the ending of “A Good Man is Hard to Find” was very shocking. In all honesty, I did not expect the ending to happen like that. I thought someone was coming to save the family from the accident, but The Misfit killing the family it left me speechless. When The Misfit killed the whole family, I was very upset. It had me questioning why would he do something like that. Reading the last sentence made me feel like The Misfit had no other choice but to kill the whole family. Yes the grandmother was kinda a pain in the butt, and June Star did have a smart mouth, but killing the family to me was not necessary. It made me feel sad about the other family members that were just there to enjoy their road trip. Everything would have been different if things just went as planned.
